Title of the map. Very unusual antique copper engraved map of Turkey, by RUSCELLI, from a map of Ptolemy, 16th century. The map extends from Constantinople to Armenia. This is a map from Ruscelli’s edition of Ptolemy’s Geographia (La Geografia di Claudio Tolomeo). Italian text in verso. His most famous work is his translation of Ptolemy’s Geographia, which was published after his death. 5 x 22,5 cm / 12,5 x 8,6 inches. By Ziletti, Venice, 1574.
