Gilles often signed maps as “Robert, while Didier commonly signed his maps as “Robert de Vaugondy”, or added “fils” or “filio after his name. The Robert de Vaugondy family were descended from the Nicolas Sanson family. Size with margins : 80,7 x 55 cm / 31,4 x 21,6 inch. Condition : very good condition, in colors, very large margins, on strong paper with watermark. Edition : Paris, 1752, 18th century.
