Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi was an italian engraver and painter, at the end of XVIIe Century. Edition: From “Mercurio Geografico overo Guida Geografica in Tutte Le Parti del Mondo”. For this atlas, Giacomo de Rossi worked with Giacomo Cantelli da Vignola. The firm published also maps from Nicolas Sanson. Later, the firm was solded to Lorenzo Filippo, knowned as “Calcografia Nazionale”, then, the “Regia Calcografica”. It still exits today as “Calcografia Nazionale”. It is as a museum which owns one of the most important and nice maps of the world. Size with margins : 60 x 46 cm / 23,6 x 18 inches. On very strong paper, well engraved.
