The maps is decorated by a majestual cartouche in upper left side, the emblems of the island in lower left side and a large description in upper right side. The map is very detailed with major cities rivers. SEUTTER began his career as an apprentice under tutelage of JB Homann. Then, he left Homann to establish his own independent cartographic publishing firm in Augsburg. He was one of the most prolific Publishers of his time and was honored by the German Emperor Charles VI, with the title of “Imperial Geographer”. Size with margins : 53,2 x 61,5 cm / 20,8 x 24 inches. Condition : very good condition. In original colors, well engraved, on strong paper.
